Job summary

Vaulsys, a technology company delivering an API-based payments platform, is hiring a Software Support Engineer to be the 24/7 first point of contact for high-volume transactions, performing real-time monitoring, incident response, and root-cause analysis.

The role requires strong Java production support experience, JVM tuning, Oracle/PostgreSQL troubleshooting, and knowledge of ISO 8583, PCI DSS, Visa/Mastercard. Evening shift, on-site in Karachi.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in production support.
• Strong Java production support experience with Jetty-based applications.
• Experience with Oracle or PostgreSQL database troubleshooting.
• Fintech domain knowledge (ISO 8583, PCI DSS, Visa/Mastercard) highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 on-call production support and handle P1/P2 incidents.
• Troubleshoot Java (Jetty-based) applications including thread/heap dumps and JVM tuning.
• Support Oracle/PostgreSQL database troubleshooting and performance analysis.
• Investigate ISO 8583 payment message flows, including authorization, clearing and settlement issues.
• Perform log analysis via Elastic/OpenSearch and maintain runbooks and incident reports.
