We're looking for an Internal Communications & Employee Engagement Specialist who's passionate about connecting people, purpose, and culture through great storytelling and creative execution. You'll support the Corporate Communications Manager in driving Disrupt's global internal communications and employee engagement initiatives - helping teams across ventures stay informed, inspired, and connected. From shaping the stories that celebrate wins to coordinating culture moments and internal campaigns, you'll help make Disrupt a place where communication drives belonging and clarity. This role is ideal for someone early in their communications career who thrives on creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning - with a natural flair for writing, content, and engagement.
Expectations from the Role
Internal Communications
- Support the design and delivery of the global internal communications calendar - including newsletters, all-hands, Slack updates, internal events and leadership messages.
- Create clear, engaging, and human-centered content that helps employees understand company priorities, milestones, and values.
- Coordinate internal campaigns, announcements, and leadership updates with precision and timeliness.
- Maintain key channels (Slack, intranet, newsletters) and ensure a consistent voice, tone, and rhythm across all platforms.
- Assist in planning and executing key internal events such as town halls, culture days, and employee appreciation moments.
- Collect and organize feedback, track engagement metrics, and contribute ideas for improving communication flow and clarity.
Employee Engagement
- Partner with the Human Resources teams to design and deliver creative engagement programs that strengthen culture and connection.
- Support initiatives such as onboarding communication, recognition programs, employee surveys, and internal activations (e.g., Orange Day, Value Champions, or learning events).
- Contribute to storytelling around people, teams, and values - turning everyday moments into culture-building narratives.
- Help coordinate and promote cross-venture participation in events and engagement activities.
- Use insights and feedback to suggest new ways to foster engagement and inclusivity across teams.
- Work closely with the Corporate Communications Manager to align internal and engagement activities with broader communication goals.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams (People | HR, GTM, and Ventures) to ensure messages are clear, timely, and consistent.
- Support with light design coordination, vendor or agency communication, and event logistics when needed.
- Stay up to date with new tools, trends, and practices in internal communications and employee engagement.
Qualifications & Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in internal communications, employee engagement, or corporate communications (experience in tech, startups, or fast-growth environments preferred).
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills - you can make any update sound human, clear, and engaging.
- Experience executing communication campaigns or engagement programs across multiple channels.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Basic familiarity with digital tools such as Slack, Canva, ClickUp, Slido, or intranet platforms.
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and collaborative team player with a "make it happen" attitude.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines.
