True North is an ISO-certified Project Management and Facility Management company delivering integrated solutions to developers, mall operators, corporate clients, retail chains, and institutional buyers across Pakistan. Our certifications - ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environment), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) - reflect the discipline and accountability we bring to every project.
We are scaling our footprint, and we are looking for a Business Development Officer to help convert that opportunity into signed, profitable contracts.
About the Role
The Business Development Officer is the front-line driver of True North's revenue growth. This role owns the full sales cycle - prospecting, qualifying, presenting, proposing, negotiating, and closing. Working closely with leadership, operations, and finance, you will convert True North's PM and FM capabilities into commercial wins while building durable relationships with decision-makers across the country. Based in Lahore and reporting to the Head of Business Development / CEO, this is an on-site role with frequent travel across Pakistan.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Prospecting
- Build and maintain a target account list across developers, mall operators, corporate offices, retail chains, hospitals, educational institutions, and industrial estates.
- Generate leads through cold outreach, networking, referrals, industry events, tender portals, and digital channels.
- Qualify inbound enquiries against scope, budget, timeline, and decision-maker access.
Client Engagement & Presentations
- Conduct discovery meetings with prospective clients to understand requirements and pain points.
- Deliver capability presentations that articulate True North's PM and FM value proposition with clarity and credibility.
- Maintain a regular cadence of touchpoints across the pipeline - site visits, follow-ups, and relationship-building meetings.
Proposal Development & Bidding
- Partner with operations, technical, and finance teams to scope opportunities accurately.
- Prepare proposals, RFP responses, and commercial offers - including fixed-fee, retainer, and revenue-share models - tailored to each client's context.
- Ensure all proposals reflect True North's quality, safety, and compliance standards under ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001.
- Maintain an accurate, up-to-date opportunity pipeline with stage, value, probability, and next action for every account.
- Submit weekly forecasts and activity reports to leadership.
- Keep CRM records clean and current - contacts, meeting notes, documents, and correspondence.
Negotiation & Closing
- Lead commercial negotiations with prospects, coordinating internally on pricing, scope, and terms.
- Work with finance and legal on contract drafting, SLA definition, and execution.
- Hand over signed accounts cleanly to operations with full context for delivery teams.
Account Growth & Retention
- Maintain warm relationships with existing clients to surface upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
- Coordinate with operations and account management teams on client satisfaction, renewals, and expansion.
Market Intelligence & Brand Representation
- Track competitor activity, prevailing market rates, and emerging tenders.
- Represent True North at industry events, exhibitions, and networking forums.
- Contribute insights to leadership for positioning, pricing, and service-line development.
- Support marketing on case studies, capability statements, and campaign content.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of B2B business development or corporate sales experience.
- Demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Strong proposal-writing, commercial drafting, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); basic financial modelling for proposals is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Urdu.
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel across Pakistan.
- MBA, existing relationships with developers or mall operators, and familiarity with ISO-certified environments are a distinct advantage.
- Commercial acumen
- Client-first communication
- Resilience and follow-through
- Team collaboration
What We Offer
