Job summary

Zong 5G in Lahore is seeking an experienced IT engineer to manage compute, storage, virtualization, and network infrastructure. You will perform hands-on administration, troubleshooting, and collaborate with OEM vendors to ensure optimal system uptime.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree with relevant certifications (CCNP Data Center, HCIP Compute) and have up to 10 years of experience across compute, storage, virtualization, and IT infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; NP certifications preferred such as CCNP Data Center, HCIP Compute.
• Experience with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Compute, Storage, virtualization, and software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve IT issues; communicate status clearly to customers.
• Maintain up-to-date IT knowledge and best practices to protect company systems.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to ensure continuous operation of the network.
• Train staff on equipment and applications for smooth transitions.

Job description

• Must be well versed with Advanced IT Technologies and hands-on experience with Mainstream OS and Virtualization solutions such as Redhat, Ubuntu, Microsoft, VMWare, Openshift, OLVM and Microsoft HyperV.
• Troubleshoot, Diagnose and Resolve IT related issues, and communicate status and resolutions clearly to customers.
• Maintaining current knowledge and understanding of IT best practices to offer the best solutions and protection to company systems.
• Proven hands-on experience for Compute and Storage solutions such as Dell, Huawei, HPE, IBM and H3C.
• Configuration and coordination of proof of concept engagements in Coordination with OEM.
• Provide Level 1 support and escalate to OEM Advanced TAC teams when required.
• Deliver on-site and remote technical support to ensure continuous operation of the network.
• Hands-on experience with broader Network technologies such as Routing, Switching, WLAN, and Security will be a Plus.
• Train staff on equipment and applications to ensure a smooth transition.

Eligibility Criteria (Education, Knowledge, Experience and Skills):

Education:

• In principle, to have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree.
• Preferably, valid professional-level (NP) OEM certifications such as CCNP Data Center, HCIP Compute.

Work Experience:

• Preferably up to 10 years of experience in installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Compute, Storage, virtualization, and software solutions such as Microsoft and Oracle.

Skills – Job Specific:

• Experience in Multiple Compute, GPU, and Storage Solutions.
• Solid knowledge of Iaas, PaaS, and SaaS Infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of Network Infrastructure and IT infrastructure.
