Job summary

Zong 5G is seeking a network engineer with strong proficiency in SDN, MPLS, and data center networking. The role includes hands-on work with Cisco, Huawei, and H3C hardware, plus coordination of OEM engagements and firmware management.

The candidate will provide on-site and remote support, troubleshoot complex LAN/WAN and WLAN environments, and stay updated on cybersecurity best practices. Relevant certifications and a Bachelor’s degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; professional OEM certs preferred such as CCNP/HCNP/H3CSE.
• Up to 10 years of LAN/WAN; experience with firewalls, switching, routing and WLAN.
• Experience with WLAN networks (Wi-Fi 7) and cybersecurity solutions.

Responsibilities

• Configure and coordinate proof of concept engagements with OEMs.
• Manage firmware upgrades and patch management for network equipment.
• Provide Level 1 support and escalate to OEM Advanced TAC as needed.
• Deliver on-site and remote technical support to ensure network continuity.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve network issues and clearly communicate status.

• Strong proficiency in advanced networking technologies and their configuration, including SDN, MPLS, and data center networking.
• Troubleshoot, Diagnose and Resolve network issues, and communicate status and resolutions clearly to customers.
• Stay current with security and networking best practices to deliver effective solutions and protect company systems.
• Proven hands‑on experience with multiple Network OEMs, including Cisco, Huawei, and H3C.
• Configuration and coordination of proof of concept engagements in Coordination with OEM.
• Manage firmware upgrades and patch management for network equipment in coordination with OEM.
• Provide Level 1 support and elevate to OEM Advanced TAC teams when required.
• Deliver on‑site and remote technical support to ensure continuous operation of the network.
• Hands‑on experience with broader IT technologies (compute, storage, virtualization, GPU infrastructure).
• Train staff on equipment and applications to ensure a smooth transition.

Eligibility Criteria (Education, Knowledge, Experience and Skills):

Education:

• In principle, have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree.
• Preferably, valid professional‑level (NP) OEM certifications such as CCNP, HCNP, or H3CSE.

Work Experience:

• Preferably up to 10 years of work experience in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of LAN, WAN, firewalls, switching, routing, and WLAN environments.

Skills – Job Specific:

• Experience in WLAN networks (Wi-Fi 7).
• Solid knowledge of cybersecurity solutions.
• Working knowledge of IT infrastructure, including compute, GPU servers, storage, and virtualization with be a Plus.
