Job summary
A leading employment agency is seeking a Team Lawyer in Adult Social Care in Wigan. The ideal candidate will have significant PQE and be involved in complex legal matters related to Adult Social Care law, including advocacy at court. The pay rate is competitive. Qualifications
- Significant PQE in Adult Social Care ideally in a Local Government Setting.
- Experience handling a legal caseload including complex matters.
- Ability to draft complex legal documents and conduct proceedings.
Responsibilities
- Deal with aspects of Adult Social Care law including Court of Protection applications.
- Engage in detailed negotiations and advise parties as appropriate.
- Act as an advocate at court, tribunals, inquiries, and hearings.

The successful candidate will need significant PQE in Adult Social Care ideally in a Local Government Setting. The successful candidate will deal with all aspects of Adult Social Care law which includes Court of Protection Welfare Applications, Ordinary Residence Disputes and Section 21A Challenges within our People Team which also includes Children’s Social Care and Health.
They will handle a legal caseload which may include complex and legally challenging matters, drafting complex and significant legal documents and engage in detailed negotiations with parties as appropriate and will advise, prepare and conduct proceedings acting as an advocate at court, tribunals, inquiries and other statutory and legislative hearings.
