Job summary

Philippine Span Asia Carrier Corp. (Manila) supervises and coordinates day-to-day workshop operations, including troubleshooting, repair, overhaul, installation, and maintenance of vessel and crane electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Marine Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in workshop, vessel, crane, or industrial equipment maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Experienced in troubleshooting, repair, overhaul, installation, and testing of equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical drawings.
  • Knowledge of LOTO, high-voltage, high-pressure, and general workshop safety procedures.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, planning, and team coordination skills.
  • Experience supporting vessel dry-dock and onboard maintenance projects is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise workshop technicians and monitor daily repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Oversee electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs, overhaul, installation, and testing.
  • Review drawings, identify equipment issues, and recommend repair methods and parts.
  • Coordinate remote and onboard troubleshooting and support vessel dry-dock projects.
  • Ensure compliance with LOTO, high voltage, high-pressure, and safety procedures.
  • Monitor work quality, timelines, manpower, tools, and materials.
  • Prepare and review service reports, inspection findings, and parts recommendations.
  • Coordinate with vessel engineers, supervisors, contractors, and other departments on repair requirements.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping and workshop safety standards.
