Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marine, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 7–10 years in marine, ship repair, or heavy equipment engineering with 3–5 years in leadership.
  • Strong expertise in mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and fabrication repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise hydraulic technicians, machinists, electricians, welders, and other technical personnel.
  • Coordinate with Technical Superintendents to execute repair plans and resolve issues.
  • Plan manpower, equipment, and resources for field operations and emergency breakdowns.
  • Monitor repair progress, timelines, and performance.

The Engineering Sea (E-Sea) Support Head leads the execution of marine engineering support services, overseeing multi-skilled technical teams responsible for vessel repairs, fabrication, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Reporting to the Shipmanagement Head, the role ensures timely and effective response to technical issues, minimizing vessel downtime while maintaining safety, quality, and operational efficiency. The position works closely with Technical Superintendents to deploy skilled personnel, equipment, and resources for critical repair and maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise hydraulic technicians, machinists, electricians, welders, and other technical personnel.
  • Manage vessel repair, maintenance, fabrication, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Coordinate with Technical Superintendents to execute repair plans and resolve technical issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, permit-to-work systems, and quality standards.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring failures.
  • Plan manpower, equipment, and resources for field operations and emergency breakdown response.
  • Monitor repair progress, project timelines, and operational performance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in marine, ship repair, or heavy equipment engineering, with at least 3–5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong technical expertise in mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and fabrication repairs.
  • Knowledge of safety management systems, root cause analysis, project management, and ISO 9001 standards.
  • TESDA technical certifications, BOSH/COSH, or equivalent safety certifications are an advantage.
  • Licensed Engineer is preferred but not required for candidates with extensive technical experience.
