Job summary

Henkel is seeking a Workday HCM Functional Specialist to support HR systems across the APAC region. You will lead testing for Workday HCM, coordinate cross-country testing efforts, and partner with HR, IT, payroll, and finance to ensure reliable, compliant HR processes.

You will also support digital transformation initiatives including AI and automation. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in HR/Business/IS, at least 3 years HR/HRIS experience, and strong Mandarin and English communication.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in HR, HR Operations, HRIS, or related functions
• Experience in end-user testing of HR systems; Workday or cloud HR solutions preferred
• Proficiency in written and spoken English; Mandarin required or highly preferred

About this Position

As a Workday HCM Functional Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring effective operation, continuous improvement, and user support of Workday across the APAC region. Acting as a functional link between HR, IT, payroll, finance, and global teams, you will help ensure that HR systems and processes are accurate, reliable, secure, user-friendly, and aligned with business and employee needs.

In this role, you will provide hands‑on Workday support, maintain HR data integrity, troubleshoot system and process issues, support testing and system releases, and identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate HR processes. You will also contribute to broader HR digital transformation initiatives, including the responsible application of artificial intelligence and automation.

Working in a regional and multinational environment, you will collaborate with stakeholders across functions and geographies while serving as a trusted subject matter expert for Workday and HR technology.

What you´ll do

• Lead and execute end‑to‑end testing activities for Workday HCM processes, ensuring new solutions are accurately validated before deployment across the Asia‑Pacific region
• Coordinate and manage testing efforts for Core HR, Recruiting, and Compensation processes, helping drive the successful implementation of Workday across multiple countries
• Collaborate with regional stakeholders to gather testing requirements, address issues, and ensure country‑specific business scenarios are fully represented in test scripts
• Monitor testing progress and prepare status updates, providing visibility on milestones, risks, and readiness across APAC markets
• Partner with global project teams and fellow testers to share best practices, identify cross‑functional impacts, and support consistent testing standards
• Contribute to key project phases and continuous improvement initiatives, helping deliver a seamless employee and HR experience through Workday
• Leverage your HR process expertise to ensure testing quality, compliance with business requirements, and successful adoption of new HR technology solutions

What makes you a good fit

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Information Systems, or any related field
• Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in Human Resources, HR Operations, HRIS, or related functions, preferably within a multinational company or shared services environment
• Experience in end‑user testing of HR systems is required. Knowledge of Workday or other cloud‑based HR solutions is highly preferred. Proficiency in written and spoken Chinese Mandarin is required
• Strong cross‑functional HR process knowledge with the ability to understand end‑to‑end employee lifecycle processes and translate business requirements into effective testing scenarios
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with fluency in English and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint); Interest in HR technology, automation, and digital transformation is an advantage
• Amenable to work on a day shift schedule (9:00 AM to 6:00 PM), and report on a hybrid work set‑up in Ayala Avenue, Makati
