Job summary

GCash, the leading FinTech in the Philippines, seeks an experienced Workday HCM Expert to own daily administration, configuration, and ongoing optimization of the Workday HCM platform.

You will translate HR business needs into scalable Workday solutions, handling business processes, calculated fields, security, and integrations, while collaborating with IT and HR stakeholders. This is a hands-on IC role in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Workday HCM configuration and administration experience (Core HR required; compensation, talent, or benefits is a plus).
• Proven experience creating complex Business Processes, Calculated Fields, and reports; managing Security Groups.
• Hands-on experience with inbound/outbound EIBs for bulk data operations.
• Practical experience supporting and troubleshooting Workday integrations and middleware.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on configuration of Workday HCM including Core HR, BPs, Calculated Fields, and domain security policy adjustments.
• Tenant management: sandbox refreshes, release updates, and feature testing across environments.
• Business scoping and solution design: analyze requirements, design technical solutions, and build specs.
• Integrations & data migration: maintain/test inbound/outbound integrations (EIBs, Core Connectors, Studio) and vendor connections.
• Tier 3 escalation for Workday issues and root-cause analysis; efficient resolution.
• Release management: evaluate bi-annual Workday releases and plan/execute enhancements and regression testing.
• Testing & documentation: conduct unit and integration tests; maintain documentation of configurations and security changes.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Workday HCM Expert to serve as our dedicated, hands-on configuration expert. In this technical Individual Contributor role, you will be directly responsible for the daily administration, hands-on configuration, and continuous improvement of our Workday HCM platform.

The ideal candidate thrives on getting into the system details—translating complex HR business needs into clean, scalable Workday solutions. You will own everything from business process design and calculated fields to security matrix updates, EIB data loads, and integration maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hands-on Configuration: Lead end-to-end hands-on configuration within Workday HCM, including Core HR, Business Processes (BPs), Condition Rules, Calculated Fields, and domain security policy adjustments.

• Tenant Management: Oversee Workday tenant setup, sandbox refreshes, release updates, and feature testing across non-production and production environments.

• Business Scoping & Solution Design: Partner directly with HR and business stakeholders to analyze functional requirements, evaluate feasibility, design technical solutions, and execute build specs.

• Integrations & Data Migration: Maintain, test, and troubleshoot inbound/outbound integrations (EIBs, Core Connectors, Studio) and third-party vendor connections in collaboration with IT.

• Issue Resolution & System Support: Act as the Tier 3 technical escalation point for Workday system bugs, process breakages, and configuration errors, driving root-cause analysis and timely resolution.

• Release Management: Evaluate new Workday bi-annual feature releases, assess business impacts, configure target enhancements, and lead regression testing.

• Testing & Documentation: Execute unit and end-to-end integration testing for all new functional builds; maintain thorough technical documentation for all system configurations and security changes.

Required Experience & Skills:

• Workday Expertise: 5+ years of direct, hands-on Workday HCM configuration and administration experience (Core HR required; experience with Compensation, Talent, or Benefits is a plus).

• Technical Build Skills: Proven experience creating complex Business Processes, Calculated Fields, Custom Reports, Matrix Reports, and managing Security Groups (user-based, role-based, segment-based).

• Data Tools: Hands-on experience building, testing, and executing inbound/outbound Enterprise Interface Builders (EIBs) for bulk data operations.

• Integration Familiarity: Practical experience supporting and troubleshooting Workday integrations (Core Connector, PECI, API connections) and working with middleware.

• Agile Execution: Comfort working as a self-directed IC in an Agile or continuous-delivery environment—managing individual work backlogs and technical deliverables independently.

• Experience with the latest AI-enabled Workday tools such as Journey, Help, SANA, etc. preferred

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience.

• Workday Certifications: Workday Pro or HCM Partner Certifications (Core HR, Security, or Advanced Reporting) preferred.

• Analytical Mindset: Excellent technical scoping and problem-solving skills, with a track record of identifying system gaps and delivering clean, sustainable configurations.

• Communication: Strong communication skills with a proven ability to translate complex Workday technical constraints into clear options for non-technical HR stakeholders.
