Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4-year degree required.
• 6+ years of Workday experience with 3+ years in Payroll, Absence, or Time Tracking.
• Active Workday certification in HCM/Payroll/Absence/Time Tracking preferred.
• Strong consultative, presentation, and analytical skills to guide client discussions.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Workday Consultant specializing in Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking. In this role, you will own and lead project deliverables across all stages of the Workday project lifecycle—from planning and design through testing and deployment. You will act as a subject matter expert, guiding clients through complex business solutions, managing expectations, and driving implementation excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all stages of Workday implementations (planning, design, testing, deployment) and actively lead deliverables from small to large scale

• Assess client needs, provide subject matter expertise, propose tailored alternatives, and recommend optimal solutions while managing expectations

• Coordinate with team members, manage work streams against project scope, timeline, and budget, and mentor internal resources

• Proactively identify trouble spots, troubleshoot system configurations, and deliver practical solutions under tight deadlines

• Build brand presence by participating in Workday ecosystem groups, sharing advanced thinking, and contributing to internal resource development

About you

• Bachelor's Degree or 4-year degree (Master's degree preferred)

• Previous or active Workday certification in HCM, Payroll, Absence, or Time Tracking modules

• 6+ years of relevant hands-on Workday experience, with a minimum of 3+ years specifically across Payroll, Absence, and/or Time Tracking domains

• Proven hands-on configuration experience, either as an internal consultant or with a consulting/software organization

• Prior experience with legacy HRMS platforms (e.g., Oracle, PeopleSoft) in delivery or post-production/AMS support

• Strong consultative, presentation, listening, and analytical skills with the ability to guide client discussions to prompt agreements
