Qualifications

• Experience in collections or similar customer service position.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple accounts.
• Ability to work independently while meeting targets and deadlines.
• Proficiency with computer systems and data entry; quick learner.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Patience and empathy when dealing with customers in financial difficulty.
• Knowledge of debt collection laws is advantageous.
• Previous experience in financial services is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contact customers with overdue accounts via phone, email and other channels to arrange payment.
• Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and interactions in the system.
• Negotiate payment plans to resolve balances.

• Achieve and maintain collection targets and performance metrics.
• Handle difficult conversations professionally while maintaining rapport.
• Process payments and update account statuses accurately.
• Ensure compliance with debt collection regulations and company policies.
• Provide regular reports on activities and status to supervisors.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing discrepancies.
