Mandarin Oriental is seeking a Chef de Partie - Cake / Wedding Cake Artist for its prestigious Manila pastry kitchen during a pre-opening phase. You will craft bespoke wedding and celebration cakes, applying advanced fondant, piping, sugar flowers and decorative techniques.

You will mentor junior pastry staff and collaborate with events to ensure flawless cake experiences. You will contribute to recipe development, maintain hygiene and presentation standards, and support cost-efficient

Formación

• Proven experience as a Wedding Cake Artist, Cake Decorator, Chef de Partie - Pastry, or similar role within a luxury hotel, premium bakery, cake studio, or fine-dining environment.

Responsabilidades

• Design, prepare, assemble, and decorate bespoke wedding cakes and celebration cakes to the highest standards of quality, craftsmanship, and presentation.
• Create elegant and intricate cake decorations using fondant, piping, sugar flowers, chocolate work, modelling, and other decorative elements.
• Work closely with the Executive Pastry Chef and Pastry leadership to develop creative cake concepts that complement wedding themes, guest preferences, and event requirements.
• Collaborate with Events and Banquet teams to ensure wedding cake designs, specifications, timelines, and requests are executed seamlessly.
• Oversee mise en place, stock levels, and inventory while minimizing waste and supporting cost efficiency.
