Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group Limited seeks a Chef de Partie - Cake / Wedding Cake Artist for our upcoming Makati luxury hotel. You will craft bespoke wedding and celebration cakes, collaborating with Pastry, Events and the leadership team to deliver exquisite centrepieces.

In a pre-opening environment, you will guide junior pastry colleagues, maintain high hygiene and quality standards, and contribute to menu development and operational readiness.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and creating wedding cakes and celebration cakes.
• Strong knowledge of fondant, piping, sugar flowers and decorative finishing.
• Experience in luxury hotel, premium bakery or fine-dining environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, prepare, assemble and decorate bespoke wedding cakes to high standards.
• Create intricate cake decorations using fondant, piping, sugar flowers and chocolate work.
• Collaborate with Pastry, Events and Banquet teams to meet timelines and guest needs.
• Lead and mentor junior pastry staff and ensure cost-efficient operations.
