About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join DHL Supply Chain Phils., Inc. at our soon to open new warehouse facility in Fatima Road, Jubay Liloan Cebu. This is a full-time position that offers a strategic opportunity to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing warehouse team whilst ensuring operational excellence and safety compliance. As a Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in optimizing warehouse operations, maintaining productivity targets, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety within the team. Your leadership will directly impact the efficiency and success of our supply chain operations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and direct daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of goods
• Lead, motivate, and manage a team of warehouse staff, ensuring clear communication of objectives and performance expectations
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, including conducting safety briefings and incident reporting
• Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy through regular stock checks and cycle counts
• Optimize warehouse layout and processes to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs
• Train and develop team members, providing constructive feedback and identifying opportunities for skill enhancement
• Maintain accurate records of warehouse activities, including documentation of shipments, receipts, and quality issues
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, accuracy, and safety metrics, reporting progress to senior management
• Identify and resolve operational challenges, implementing corrective actions as needed
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and customer requirements

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2-3 years of warehouse operations experience, with at least 1 year in a team leader role
• Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
• Proven expertise in warehouse management systems (WMS) and proficiency with inventory management software
• Solid understanding of health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and priorities effectively
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all warehouse operations
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills at all levels of the organization
• Problem-solving ability with a focus on continuous improvement and operational efficiency
• Physical capability to perform warehouse duties including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends if required
