Job summary

Globalport S is seeking a Vessel Operations Officer to oversee day-to-day operations on vessels and during cargo handling, ensuring port safety rules are followed and progress is reported hourly.

Responsibilities include briefing manpower, coordinating docked vessels, allocating resources, monitoring activity, documenting incidents, and submitting reports to the Operations Shift Manager within 24 hours after each shift.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or vocational training in a related field is required.
• 1–2 years of vessel operations or port operations experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient PC literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Sheets).

Responsibilities

• Conduct work briefings for manpower with emphasis on safety and instructions.
• Ensure vessels dock at assigned areas and resources are allocated per cargo needs.
• Monitor operational activity on vessels and during cargo handling.
• Perform random checks of Cargo Entry/Release papers to safeguard revenue.
• Submit Vessel Hourly Progress Reports after each shift.
• Document incidents and irregularities per company policies.
• Ensure all documentary requirements are signed and submitted within 24 hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned by superiors.
