Job summary

Asia PeopleWorks Inc. is seeking a Senior Executive, Operations based in Makati to lead planning, coordination and execution of vessel and cargo operations.

You will oversee day-to-day activities, ensure safety, efficiency and compliance, and guide the outport team while coordinating with terminals, authorities, agents, and customers. The ideal candidate has 3–7 years in shipping or logistics, a maritime degree, strong communication and Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related discipline.
• 3–7 years of experience in shipping, liner operations, vessel operations, logistics or related field.
• Knowledge of vessel operations, cargo handling, port procedures, and shipping documentation.
• DG knowledge and special cargo operations is an advantage.
• Strong coordination, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Monitor vessel schedules, cargo movements, and operations ensuring timely execution and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate daily activities with terminals, port authorities, customers, and service providers for smooth delivery.
• Monitor performance, identify risks and disruptions; implement corrective actions and drive cost-control initiatives.
• Prepare operational reports, vessel documentation, cargo forecasts and performance records.
• Supervise outport team, ensuring productivity, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Support workforce planning, development and performance monitoring; serve as first escalation point.
• Maintain relationships with stakeholders including customers, authorities and operators.
