Job summary

Canon Business Process Services Philippines Inc. is looking for a Systems Engineer to design, install, administer and support data center systems across multiple networks and data centers.

You will work with Windows Server, SQL, IIS/Exchange, VMware, AS/400 and Linux servers, plus script for automation and testing. The role includes rack installations, O365 and Google Workspace administration, backups and SAN/NAS health monitoring, and cloud work in Azure/AWS.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in Systems Engineering and/or Advanced Systems Administration.
• Hybrid work environment with Night-Shift Schedule.
• Information Security concepts.
• Systems Auditing concepts.
• Advanced knowledge of standard office equipment in a corporate environment.
• Microsoft networking products such as Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, and Terminal Services; SAN/NAS products; AV/EDR software.
• VMware proficiency.
• Google Workspace knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, administer and support data center systems, equipment, and applications to achieve optimum performance.
• Work with PowerShell or scripting for automation and testing.
• Rack and install HP & Dell server hardware in the Data Centers.
• Administer O365 Suite and Google Workspace Suite of products.
• Monitor backups, SAN/NAS health, AV alerts, and environmental appliances.
• Provide technical consultation and assistance to users and helpdesk.
• Review and evaluate technology solutions and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Troubleshoot network systems to determine causes of failure and resolve problems.
• Design and integrate Data Security into all systems to protect against access and malware.
• Research and execute Special Projects and maintain technical system documentation.

The Systems Engineer position designs, manages, monitors, and supports multiple technology disciplines across multiple data networks within multiple data centers. Develops, installs, analyzes, evaluates and maintains all related systems infrastructure.

• Design, install, administer and support data center systems, equipment, and applications to achieve optimum performance.

• This include but are not limited to Microsoft Windows, SQL, IIS, Exchange, as well as VMware, AS/400, and Linux servers.

• Work with Powershell Scripts for automation and testing

• Rack and install HP & Dell server hardware in the Data Centers.

• Administer O365 Suite as well as Google Workspace Suite of products

• Monitor appropriate System Backups, SAN/NAS health, AV Alerts, environmental appliances

• Support Cloud Infrastructures Including but not limited to Microsoft Azure and AWS

• Provide technical consultation and assistance to users, helpdesk and other technical users.

• Review and evaluate technology solutions and recommend appropriate solutions.

• Troubleshooting of network systems to determine cause(s) of failure and resolve problems.

• Ability to design and integrate Data Security into all systems to ensure protection from inappropriate access and malware.
