Daniel P. O'Reilly and Company (DPO&Co.) is seeking a Purchasing Data Analyst to manage inventory forecasting and purchasing analyses. You will interact with client representatives and report progress to their team, ensuring accurate data-driven decisions and strong supplier relationships.
The role requires a bachelor's degree, 2–3 years in inventory/purchasing, and advanced Excel skills to build forecasting models and analyze market trends. Immediate start preferred.
As a Purchasing Data Analyst, you will communicate with client representatives and maintain client expectations toward the project, reporting directly with the client's team on progress updates. You will maintain an inventory forecast and purchasing excel model, analyze sales data, historical trends, and market insights to determine optimal inventory management strategies.
Key responsibilities

Maintain an inventory forecast and purchasing excel model, analyze sales data, historical trends, and market insights to determine optimal inventory management strategies
Monitor and adjust inventories to ensure optimal product availability and minimize stockouts as well as excess inventory
Collaborate with suppliers and distributors, assist in price negotiation, and establish strong relationships to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply of materials or services. Monitor supplier performance, address any issues or disruptions, and explore opportunities for strategic partnerships
Collaborate with freight forwarder to track items and ensure items arrived within the proposed ETA
Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains within the supply chain. Implement best practices, streamline workflows, and utilize technology and automation solutions to enhance productivity and reduce costs
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as warehouse, sales, and finance teams, to ensure alignment and coordination across departments
Perform other ad-hoc tasks as necessary
About you
Minimum bachelor's degree from a top-tier university, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering (or Operations Research), Finance / Business or a related field is preferred
2–3 years inventory management / purchasing experience
Strong English proficiency, both written and verbal – able to communicate in a full English environment
Ability to conduct extensive data analysis (inventory management) with robust structure, logic, and relevant / applicable context of the client's business
Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, including complex formulas with proven ability to build and maintain inventory forecasting and purchasing models
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of inventory management best practices and supply chain principles
Structured thinker capable of providing structure and order to information while maintaining high-level strategy
