Job summary

Merck Group is seeking a Procurement Data Analytics professional in the Philippines. You will perform data acquisition, cleansing, and timely reporting while collaborating with stakeholders across procurement functions.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, KPI tracking, and audit support to enable data-driven decisions. Ideal candidates have a finance/business degree, 2+ years in procurement, and strong ERP experience (SAP/Oracle/Ariba) plus SQL/Excel and analytics tooling proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/College Degree in Finance/Accounting or business-related course.
• Minimum 2 years in procurement functions (AP, Purchasing, T&E, VMD, etc.).
• Strong background with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Ariba).
• 3+ years of data mining as a data analyst.
• Proven analytics skills: mining, evaluation, and visualization.
• Technical writing for queries, reports, and presentations.
• Strong SQL or Excel skills; aptitude for learning other analytics tools.
• Experience with database design and segmentation techniques.
• Programming experience with XML, JavaScript, and ETL.
• Experience with statistical packages (Excel, SPSS, SAS).
• Collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Your Role

The identified candidate for Procurement Data Analytics will perform but not limited to below tasks and responsibilities:

• Data Analytics & Reporting - you will be responsible for data acquisition, cleansing, and report development. Your role includes ensuring timely delivery of Procurement reports and analyses within the group in a regular and promptly manner. You will source data from various tools and collaborate with different stakeholders.
• Continuous Improvement - your role centers on supporting opportunities for enhanced processes, efficiencies, and quality within the organization. You will employ data analysis to drive improvement initiatives.
• Audit Support - You will be responsible for facilitating and coordinate ng audit activities within the organization, preparing documentation and evidence, and acting as a liaison between the audit team and internal stakeholders.
• KPI Reporting Specialist - Your responsibilities include defining and tracking relevant KPIs, ensuring data accuracy, creating clear and visually compelling reports, and delivering actionable insights to support informed decision-making. You play a critical role in providing a data-driven foundation for the organization, enabling it to monitor performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive strategic goals with precision and clarity.
• Other Scope - Flexibility to adapt and potentially take on evolving responsibilities as the company undergoes a transitional phase, with opportunities for growth and development in the Data Analytics landscape.

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s/College Degree in Finance/Accounting or any business related course
• With minimum 2 years work experience in different Procurement functions as Accounts Payable, Purchasing, T&E, VMD, etc.
• Strong background and experience working with SAP or other ERP and ERP-related systems such as Oracle and Ariba
• Three or more years of experience mining data as a data analyst
• Proven analytics skills, including mining, evaluation, and visualization
• Technical writing experience in relevant areas, including queries, reports, and presentations
• Strong SQL or Excel skills, with aptitude for learning other analytics tool
• Experience with database and model design and segmentation techniques
• Strong programming experience with frameworks, including XML, JavaScript, and ETL
• Practical experience in statistical analysis through the use of statistical packages, including Excel, SPSS, and SAS
• Proven success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
