Level Up Talent Solutions is looking for a Lean-Pro US Property Management / Multifamily Bookkeeper to support the accounting and financial operations of a US-based property management business.
This role is responsible for keeping multifamily property finances accurate, organized, and client-ready by managing property-level bookkeeping, ledgers, reconciliations, AP/AR, lease-related transactions, and month-end close activities.
The ideal candidate has direct experience supporting US property management companies, multifamily residential properties, apartment communities, or similar real estate portfolios. They should understand accounting processes across properties, entities, units, residents, leases, rental transactions, and client reporting requirements.
Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting activities for multifamily residential properties and apartment portfolios
- Maintain accurate General Ledger records across properties, entities, residents, and units
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor invoices, coding, payments, rental receipts, resident balances, and outstanding receivables
- Record and reconcile rent payments, fees, deposits, credits, adjustments, bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet items
- Support lease-related accounting transactions, including move-ins, move-outs, security deposits, and other property-related transactions
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between accounting records, property management systems, bank transactions, and resident ledgers
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, adjustments, supporting schedules, and monthly financial reports for month-end close
- Ensure assigned properties, entities, ledgers, and reports are accurate, complete, and delivered within required deadlines
- Communicate directly with US-based clients, property management teams, and finance stakeholders to answer questions and provide updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
- Previous experience supporting US property management, residential real estate, or multifamily accounting/bookkeeping
- Hands-on experience with General Ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end close
- Experience maintaining property, tenant, resident, or rental ledgers
- Strong understanding of rental income, resident charges, security deposits, property expenses, and related accounting transactions
- Strong reconciliation skills, attention to detail, and practical problem-solving ability
- Able to manage multiple properties, entities, or client accounts simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Comfortable communicating directly with US clients, property management teams, and senior finance stakeholders
Systems Experience
- Experience with one or more US property management or accounting platforms is strongly preferred:
- Yardi, Yardi Voyager, or Yardi Breeze
- AppFolio, Entrata, Buildium, Rent Manager, or Propertyware
- QuickBooks, Xero, or other comparable accounting platforms
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting multifamily residential properties, apartment communities, or US property management companies
- Exposure to client-ready financial reporting, month-end close support, and property-level accounting reviews
- Experience working with international or US-based clients in a hybrid work setup
