Somewhere is seeking a detail-oriented Property Accountant to manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of 5+ multi-family buildings and support our 36-asset portfolio in a remote setup.

The role requires strong Yardi proficiency, accuracy, and collaboration with property managers. You will handle bank reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting while ensuring compliance and data integrity across the portfolio.

• 2+ years of property accounting experience (preferably in multi-family real estate).
• Hands-on experience with Yardi is strictly required.
• Strong command of full-cycle accounting principles and general ledger management.
• Proven ability to manage accounting for multiple properties concurrently.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Responsabilidades

• Full-Cycle Accounting: Manage full-cycle property accounting for assigned multi-family properties (5+ residential buildings).
• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement packages.
• Cash Management: Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
• General Ledger & Month-End: Maintain general ledgers, process journal entries, and manage month-end close procedures.
• AP/AR & Reconciliation: Handle data entry, accounts payable, accounts receivable, accruals, and prepaids.
• Budgeting & Variance Analysis: Reconcile budgets and prepare variance analyses with Property Managers.
• Audits & Compliance: Support audit preparation and year-end financial closing processes.
• System Management: Ensure accurate financial data management in Yardi (non-negotiable).

About The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Property Accountant to perform full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of 5+ multi-family residential buildings and support our broader 36-asset portfolio (averaging 200 units per property). With a team member transitioning out, we are hiring two dedicated professionals to ensure continued excellence in financial reporting, accuracy, and operational support.

Key Responsibilities

• Full-Cycle Accounting: Manage full-cycle property accounting for assigned multi-family properties (5+ residential buildings).
• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement packages.
• Cash Management: Perform bank reconciliations and actively monitor cash flow.
• General Ledger & Month-End: Maintain general ledgers, process journal entries, and manage month-end close procedures.
• AP/AR & Reconciliation: Handle data entry, accounts payable, accounts receivable, accruals, and prepaids.
• Budgeting & Variance Analysis: Collaborate closely with Property Managers to reconcile budgets and prepare variance analyses.
• Audits & Compliance: Support audit preparation and year-end financial closing processes.

• Experience managing residential portfolios with 200+ unit buildings.
• Familiarity with real estate brokerage accounting or transaction management.
