Job summary

Emerson in Mandaluyong, Philippines, seeks a Team Leader Payroll Operations to lead a team supporting day-to-day U.S. payroll operations and ensure accurate, timely payroll across entities.

You will partner with HR, Finance, and business stakeholders to deliver compliant payroll and drive service delivery improvements. The role requires 5 years in payroll processing, leadership experience, and strong knowledge of U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Payroll, Finance, Business, or related field.
• At least 2 years of people leadership or project leadership experience.
• 5 years of payroll processing and reporting in a high-volume, multi-jurisdiction environment.
• Experience supporting U.S. payroll operations.
• Experience managing payroll activities, including off-cycle payments and AP interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full-cycle payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely U.S. payroll execution across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour regulations; monitor legislative updates and implement required process changes.
• Support the payroll team and serve as a backup for payroll processing activities, including payroll entries, off-cycle payments, check printing, NACHA file preparation, system testing, and related tasks.
• Act as a payroll subject matter advisor to business partners and provide expertise on payroll elements, including configuration, documentation, creation, and testing, in partnership with internal teams.
• Proactively identify and drive process improvement initiatives to enhance payroll accuracy, efficiency, and overall operational effectiveness, while supporting internal inquiries and ad hoc business requirements.
• Lead year-end and year-beginning payroll activities, ensuring project plans are executed successfully and in collaboration with key partners.
• Oversee the resolution of complex payroll discrepancies by conducting thorough root‑cause analysis and ensuring process gaps are identified and addressed.
• Ensure adherence to global standards and KPIs, and maintain service levels for employees and payroll partners.
