Job summary

Solvo Global Inc. in Manila, Philippines, seeks an experienced Insurance Verification and Prior Authorization specialist to join our US healthcare-focused team.

Responsibilities include verifying coverage, eligibility, benefits, obtaining authorizations, submitting clinical docs, and coordinating with Operations, Billing, Revenue Cycle, and Payer Relations to ensure timely approvals. Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, 10:30 PM–7:00 AM PHT.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in Insurance Verification, Prior Authorizations, Benefits Verification, or related Revenue Cycle role.
• Strong knowledge of US healthcare insurance plans, benefits, and authorization processes.
• Understanding of medical terminology and clinical documentation.
• Experience with EHR/EMR systems and healthcare billing software.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Verify patients’ insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits for scheduled services and admissions.
• Review and update insurance information accurately in the system.
• Contact insurance companies to confirm coverage details and resolve discrepancies.
• Re-verify insurance benefits at the beginning of each plan or calendar year.
• Obtain prior authorizations and pre-certifications required by insurance payers.
• Submit clinical documentation to support authorization requests.
• Follow up on pending authorizations to ensure timely approvals and avoid delays in patient care.
• Manage authorization extensions when necessary.
• Communicate with patients regarding coverage, benefits, out-of-pocket expenses, and authorization requirements.
• Provide exceptional customer service and help patients understand their insurance benefits.
• Collaborate with Operations, Billing, Revenue Cycle, and Payer Relations teams.
• Maintain detailed records, generate reports, ensure compliance, and support process improvement initiatives.
