Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd in the Philippines is seeking a finance leader to join as Controller/Accounting, FP&A, and strategic finance support. Part-time or full-time flexibility with pref part time, and a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities include owning the monthly close, reviewing P&L and balance sheet, and building forecasting models. You will support Series B fundraising, investor data room materials, and management reporting for executives.

About the Company

This is a hybrid role spanning controllership/accounting, FP&A, and strategic finance/fundraising support. Because accounting and bookkeeping support is already in place, this role will not primarily be responsible for transactional accounting. Instead, this person will help ensure the underlying financials are accurate and well organized, own the analytical and forecasting layer on top of them, and support the financial workstream for the company's upcoming financing.

This role encompasses various responsibilities across controllership/accounting, FP&A, and strategic finance/fundraising support.

Responsibilities

Controller / Accounting

• Own and improve the monthly close process in partnership with the existing accounting team.
• Review P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, reconciliations, accruals, and other close outputs for accuracy.
• Ensure financial reporting and supporting schedules are organized, consistent, and diligence-ready.
• Bridge accounting outputs into management, Board, investor, and lender reporting.
• Coordinate with accounting, tax, audit, and other external finance partners as needed.

FP&A / Financial Analysis

• Own and maintain the financial model, rolling forecast, budget, and cash planning.
• Partner with functional leaders to develop and challenge operating assumptions.
• Produce monthly actual vs. forecast and variance analysis.
• Build scenario models and ad hoc analyses around growth, headcount, margins, working capital, and other key business decisions.
• Develop management reporting and KPIs that give the COO and CEO better visibility into business performance.

Strategic Finance / Series B

• Support the COO and CEO on the financial workstream for the upcoming Series B.
• Help build and maintain the financial portion of the investor data room.
• Prepare historical financials, KPI analyses, forecasts, cohort and supporting analyses, and other investor materials.
• Manage and respond to financial diligence requests from prospective investors.
• Support financial modeling and scenario planning related to the raise and use of funds.
• Support Board/investor reporting and other financing processes, including debt financing where applicable.
• Ensure consistency between accounting records, operating metrics, the financial model, and externally shared materials.
