Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd in the Philippines is seeking a Senior Associate FP&A to join our night shift team. The role focuses on financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting, with a Tuesday–Saturday schedule.

You will build complex financial models, perform variance analysis, prepare reports for stakeholders, and support potential investments while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• CPA is a plus.
• 4–6 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, investment banking, or a similar role.
• Understanding of GAAP and ability to apply it to decision making
• Excellent English communication skills – both written and oral
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office - Required
• Basic knowledge in accounting software (ERPs)
• Basic knowledge of AI concepts and tools for AI-driven analytics in financial processes.
• Willingness to work one of the following shifts, Tuesday to Saturday:
• - Night Shift: 1:00 AM to 10:00 AM

Primary: Financial Planning & Analysis

• Collect, analyze, and interpret financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Create compelling data visualizations to effectively communicate financial insights to stakeholders.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statement analysis.
• Develop and maintain financial models for various business units and projects.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans.

• Provides analytics as often as deemed necessary in the completion of a project/program.
• Shares expertise to other members of the FP&A team.

Secondary: General Accounting

• Perform moderately complex bookkeeping and general accounting across the GL.
• Review ledger activity; prepare monthly account reconciliations (bank, WIP, AR, AP, FA); resolve discrepancies with stakeholders.
• Identify appropriate accruals and post adjusting entries; assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages.
• Communicate issues, risks, and status updates to clients; develop understanding of client industries and provide value-added recommendations.
• Collaborate on engagement planning (timelines, risk assessments, work programs) and lead smaller, non-complex engagements as in-charge.
• Supervise, coach, and mentor Accounting Associates; delegate effectively; share best practices and provide on-the-job training.
• Research technical accounting issues and support agreed-upon procedures and special projects as requested; other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or any related field.
• Certified Public Accountant is a plus
• 4-6 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, investment banking, or a similar role.
• Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and the ability to use that knowledge to guide in decision making
• Excellent English communication skills – both written and oral
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office - Required
• Must have basic knowledge in accounting software (ERPs)
• Basic knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts and tools, with the ability to leverage AI-driven analytics and automation in financial processes.
• Willingness to work one of the following shifts, Tuesday to Saturday:
• Mid Shift: 3:00 PM to 12:00 MN
• Early Shift: 3:00 AM to 12:00 NN
• Night Shift: 1:00 AM to 10:00 AM

TECHNICAL AND OTHER SKILLS:

• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills. - Required
