Job Description

The key responsibilities of the Financial Controller:

  Perform month-end close finance operations, including reviewing financial transactions, payments, and account reconciliations.
• 
  
  Identify and implement improvements and automation in month-end close processes.
• 
  
  Detect control gaps and establish key controls as needed.
• 
  
  Ensure thorough documentation of all processes and controls.
• 
  
  Collaborate with the Technology team to log and resolve accounting system issues promptly.
• 
  
  Provide accounting guidance and update relevant accounting papers and policies as needed.
• 
  
  Participate in ad-hoc tasks and projects supporting department or company initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Financial Controller must posses the following:

• CPA
• 
  
  Holds a Bachelor's or College Degree in Financial Management, Economics, Accounting, or a related business field
• 
  
  Familiar with Credit and Loan Products
• 
  
  Background in companies performing investment banking functions
• 
  
  Understands general accounting principles, including financial statements
• 
  
  Possesses excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• 
  
  Great attention to detail
• 
  
  Highly organized, able to multitask effectively, work independently, and meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
