Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Financial Controller to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a seasoned accounting professional who can take ownership of the accounting function while providing strategic financial oversight. The ideal candidate will not only have strong technical accounting skills but will also bring a leadership mindset, business acumen, and a willingness to work in alignment with U.S. time zones.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Act as a strategic business partner to senior leadership by delivering accurate financial insights and recommendations
• Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements in compliance with US GAAP
• Lead and supervise the accounting team, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal policies
• Own budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning processes
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and coordinate with external auditors or consultants as needed
• Continuously improve internal controls and accounting processes
• Responsible for reviewing and approving correct general ledger coding of transactions to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Support business decisions with financial analysis and cost-saving initiatives

Work Schedule

• Full-time
• Night shift / US time zone (to ensure overlap with U.S.-based teams)

Qualifications

• CPA preferred; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or controller-level responsibilities
• Proficient in Quickbooks is mandatory
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably with international or remote teams
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Highly proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
• Willing and able to work during U.S. business hours (night shift in PH)
