Job summary

AKOI Management seeks a skilled US Bookkeeper to manage outsourced accounting for U.S. clients from its Makati office. You will be the primary contact, translating financial data, overseeing monthly closes, and ensuring the accuracy of financial statements while coordinating with tax specialists.

The role emphasizes high English proficiency, experience with QuickBooks Online, and the ability to integrate with cloud accounting tools to optimize tax data collection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1+ years of experience in U.S. accounting, bookkeeping, and basic U.S. tax compliance
• Advanced, hands-on proficiency with QuickBooks Online (QBO) and related cloud accounting ecosystems
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills for direct interactions with U.S. stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for U.S. clients, onboarding, communications, and regular financial reviews.
• Oversee full-charge bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, AP/AR, and monthly closures directly within QuickBooks Online (QBO).
• Review financial records for audit readiness, prepare key year-end tax documentation, and coordinate U.S. federal and state tax return filings with tax specialists.
• Deliver accurate P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports, helping clients understand key metrics and tax-planning opportunities.
• Help clients integrate QBO with third-party tools (e.g., Gusto, Stripe, Bill.com, Karbon) to streamline accounting and tax data collection.
