Job summary

Cloud Accountant Staffing (CAS) is seeking an experienced Accountant for remote work serving international client accounts. This full-time night-shift role aligns with North American hours and offers stability and growth in a remote-first environment.

You'll handle full-cycle accounting, payroll, and financial reporting for diverse clients, building processes and automation while communicating clearly with clients and team members abroad.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum three years of accounting or bookkeeping experience serving international clients.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online; experience with Xero, Bill.com, and Google Workspace/Excel is a plus.
• Strong written and spoken English; excellent client-facing communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting for clients abroad: AP/AR, journal entries, accruals, and month-end close.
• Prepare timely financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow) with variance analysis.
• Build budgets, rolling forecasts, cash-flow projections, and monitor burn and runway.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, merchant, and loan accounts; investigate discrepancies.
• Run payroll accurately with proper approvals and deductions.
• Standardize checklists, SOPs, and close calendars; identify automation opportunities.
• Collaborate with teammates and clients abroad; translate financials into plain English.
• Keep documentation audit-ready and records organized.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. At least three years of accounting or bookkeeping experience serving clients abroad (public practice or industry). QuickBooks Online proficiency is required; experience with Xero, Bill.com, or Google Workspace/Excel is a plus. Both CPA and non-CPA professionals are welcome. Strong written and spoken English and client-facing experience are essential. We value an ownership mindset: organized, deadline-driven, and able to manage several clients without sacrificing accuracy. You should be comfortable working a night shift that aligns with North American business hours.

Nice to have: a tech-curious, automation-minded approach (workflow rules, integrations, reporting tools) and experience across diverse industries or multi-entity accounting.
