Cloud Accountant Staffing (CAS) is hiring an Accountant (Remote) to serve international client accounts. The role operates full-time with a night shift aligned to North American business hours, offering a remote-first, permanent position.

You’ll manage full-cycle accounting for overseas clients, produce financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, and collaborate with teams and clients across borders. CPA not required; accommodation for both CPA/non-CPA candidates with English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting for clients abroad: AP/AR, journal entries, accruals, month-end close.
• Prepare timely financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow) with variance analysis.
• Build budgets, rolling forecasts, and cash-flow projections; monitor burn and runway.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, merchant, and loan accounts; resolve discrepancies.
• Run payroll accurately with proper approvals and deductions.
• Develop SOPs and close calendars; identify opportunities for automation and efficiency.

What You'll Do

Build budgets, rolling forecasts, and cash-flow projections, and monitor burn and runway for small and mid-sized clients. Reconcile bank, credit card, merchant, and loan accounts, and investigate and resolve discrepancies. Run payroll accurately and on time, with proper approvals and deductions. Standardize checklists, SOPs, and close calendars, and spot opportunities for automation and efficiency. Collaborate with teammates and clients abroad — join calls, translate financials into plain English, and flag risks and opportunities. Keep documentation audit-ready and records clean and organized.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. At least three years of accounting or bookkeeping experience serving clients abroad (public practice or industry). QuickBooks Online proficiency is required; experience with Xero, Bill.com, or Google Workspace/Excel is a plus. Both CPA and non-CPA professionals are welcome. Strong written and spoken English and client-facing experience are essential. We value an ownership mindset: organized, deadline-driven, and able to manage several clients without sacrificing accuracy. You should be comfortable working a night shift that aligns with North American business hours.

Nice to have: a tech-curious, automation-minded approach (workflow rules, integrations, reporting tools) and experience across diverse industries or multi-entity accounting.
