Cloud Accountant Staffing (CAS) is seeking an experienced Accountant for remote work handling international client accounts. The role supports firms abroad with precise financial reporting and advisory, demanding high standards and long-term collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years accounting or bookkeeping experience for clients abroad.
• Proficient in QuickBooks Online; knowledge of Xero/Bill.com/Google Workspace/Excel is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle full-cycle accounting for international clients: AP/AR, journal entries, accruals, and month-end close.
• Prepare financial statements with variance analysis and insights (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow).
• Build budgets, rolling forecasts, and cash-flow projections; monitor burn and runway for small to mid-sized clients.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, merchant, and loan accounts; investigate discrepancies.
• Run payroll accurately with proper approvals and deductions.
• Standardize checklists, SOPs, and close calendars; spot automation opportunities.
• Collaborate with teammates and clients abroad; translate financials into plain English; flag risks.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. At least three years of accounting or bookkeeping experience serving clients abroad (public practice or industry). QuickBooks Online proficiency is required; experience with Xero, Bill.com, or Google Workspace/Excel is a plus. Both CPA and non-CPA professionals are welcome. Strong written and spoken English and client-facing experience are essential. We value an ownership mindset: organized, deadline-driven, and able to manage several clients without sacrificing accuracy. You should be comfortable working a night shift that aligns with North American business hours.

Nice to have: a tech-curious, automation-minded approach (workflow rules, integrations, reporting tools) and experience across diverse industries or multi-entity accounting.
