Job summary

Cloud Accountant Staffing (CAS) is hiring an Accountant (Remote) for International Client Accounts. This full-time, night-shift role is remote and aligned with North American hours, offering long-term growth with overseas clients and a stable, remote-first setup.

You will manage full-cycle accounting for international clients, prepare financial statements, and collaborate with firms abroad while maintaining audit-ready records and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• At least 3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience serving clients abroad.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online; knowledge of Xero/Bill.com/Google Workspace is a plus.
• Strong written and spoken English; client-facing experience required.
• Ownership mindset: organized, deadline-driven, capable of multi-client management.
• Able to work a night shift aligned with North American hours.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting for international clients: AP/AR, journal entries, accruals, and month-end close.
• Prepare timely financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow) with variance analysis and actionable insights.
• Build budgets, rolling forecasts, and cash-flow projections; monitor burn and runway for small and mid-sized clients.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, merchant, and loan accounts; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Run payroll accurately and on time with proper approvals and deductions.
• Standardize checklists, SOPs, and close calendars; identify automation opportunities.
• Collaborate with teammates and clients abroad; translate financials into plain English; maintain audit-ready records.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. At least three years of accounting or bookkeeping experience serving clients abroad (public practice or industry). QuickBooks Online proficiency is required; experience with Xero, Bill.com, or Google Workspace/Excel is a plus. Both CPA and non-CPA professionals are welcome. Strong written and spoken English and client-facing experience are essential. We value an ownership mindset: organized, deadline-driven, and able to manage several clients without sacrificing accuracy. You should be comfortable working a night shift that aligns with North American business hours.

Nice to have: a tech-curious, automation-minded approach (workflow rules, integrations, reporting tools) and experience across diverse industries or multi-entity accounting.
