Cloud Accountant Staffing (CAS) is seeking an Accountant for a remote, full-time role serving international client accounts and aligned with North American hours.

You will manage full-cycle accounting for abroad clients, prepare financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, and ensure audit-ready records in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• At least three years of accounting or bookkeeping experience serving clients abroad.
• QuickBooks Online proficiency required.
• Experience with Xero, Bill.com, or Google Workspace/Excel is a plus.
• Both CPA and non-CPA professionals are welcome.
• Strong written and spoken English and client-facing experience are essential.
• Ownership mindset: organized, deadline-driven, and able to manage several clients without sacrificing accuracy.
• Night shift aligned with North American business hours.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting for international clients: AP/AR, journal entries, accruals, and month-end close.
• Prepare timely financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow) with variance analysis and actionable insights.
• Build budgets, rolling forecasts, and cash-flow projections.
• Monitor burn and runway for small and mid-sized clients.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, merchant, and loan accounts; investigate discrepancies.
• Run payroll accurately with proper approvals and deductions.
• Standardize checklists, SOPs, and close calendars; spot opportunities for automation.
• Collaborate with teams and clients abroad; translate financials into plain English.
• Keep documentation audit-ready and records organized.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. At least three years of accounting or bookkeeping experience serving clients abroad (public practice or industry). QuickBooks Online proficiency is required; experience with Xero, Bill.com, or Google Workspace/Excel is a plus. Both CPA and non-CPA professionals are welcome. Strong written and spoken English and client-facing experience are essential. We value an ownership mindset: organized, deadline-driven, and able to manage several clients without sacrificing accuracy. You should be comfortable working a night shift that aligns with North American business hours.

Nice to have: a tech-curious, automation-minded approach (workflow rules, integrations, reporting tools) and experience across diverse industries or multi-entity accounting.
