Cloud Accountant Staffing (CAS) is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage full-cycle accounting for international client accounts on a remote, full-time basis. The role operates during North American night hours, aligning with client time zones, and offers stability and long-term career growth.

You will handle books and reports, provide insightful financial reporting, and act as a trusted extension for overseas firms, ensuring audit-ready records and disciplined process ownership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years accounting or bookkeeping experience serving international clients.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online; knowledge of Xero/Bill.com is a plus.
• Strong written and spoken English; client-facing experience essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting for international clients: AP/AR, journal entries, accruals, month-end close.
• Prepare timely financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow) with variance analysis.
• Build budgets, rolling forecasts, and cash-flow projections; monitor burn and runway.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, merchant, and loan accounts; investigate discrepancies.
• Run payroll with proper approvals and deductions.
• Standardize checklists, SOPs, and close calendars; identify automation opportunities.
• Collaborate with clients and team across time zones; translate financials into plain English.

What You'll Do

Manage full-cycle accounting for clients abroad: AP/AR, journal entries, accruals, and month-end close. Reconcile bank, credit card, merchant, and loan accounts, and investigate and resolve discrepancies. Run payroll accurately and on time, with proper approvals and deductions. Standardize checklists, SOPs, and close calendars, and spot opportunities for automation and efficiency. Collaborate with teammates and clients abroad — join calls, translate financials into plain English, and flag risks and opportunities. Keep documentation audit-ready and records clean and organized.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. At least three years of accounting or bookkeeping experience serving clients abroad (public practice or industry). QuickBooks Online proficiency is required; experience with Xero, Bill.com, or Google Workspace/Excel is a plus. Both CPA and non-CPA professionals are welcome. Strong written and spoken English and client-facing experience are essential. We value an ownership mindset: organized, deadline-driven, and able to manage several clients without sacrificing accuracy. You should be comfortable working a night shift that aligns with North American business hours.

Nice to have: a tech-curious, automation-minded approach (workflow rules, integrations, reporting tools) and experience across diverse industries or multi-entity accounting.
