Job summary

Genpact is seeking a QA Automation Hybrid Testing Engineer - Playwright in Makati City. You will design, develop and maintain Playwright-based automated test suites with a focus on AI-assisted creation and refinement, while collaborating with developers, product owners and QA teams to ensure robust coverage across key user journeys.

You will also integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and maintain reporting dashboards.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in Playwright test automation across web apps.
• Backend testing, data validation, querying and reporting.
• UI tech stack, API and database proficiency.
• Experience using Claude Code or AI tools for test script generation.
• Strong analytical, debugging and problem-solving with Git and Agile/Scrum.

Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant, QA Automation Hybrid Testing Engineer - Playwright!

Responsibilities

• You will design, develop and maintain Playwright-based automated test suites, with a strong emphasis on AI-assisted test creation and refinement.

• Using tools such as Claude Code, you will do test planning, script generation, optimization, and documentation of AI-driven workflows.

• You will collaborate closely with developers, product owners and quality assurance teams to ensure robust automated coverage across key user journeys and uphold quality standards.

• In addition, you will integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, maintain reporting dashboards, and contribute to continuous improvement of automation processes. While most work is automaton‑focused, occasional manual validation may be required.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications / Skills

• Experienced in software testing or test automation, with strong hands‑on expertise in Playwright (Using any development language/framework)

• Backend Testing, data validation, querying and reporting

• UI (General UI tech stack is OK), API, Database proficiency

• Demonstrated experience using AI tools (preferably Claude Code) for test script generation, test case design or code refinement

• Strong analytical, debugging and problem‑solving skills, with proficiency in Git and Agile/Scrum workflows

Preferred Qualifications / Skills

• Familiarity with CI/CD integration, automated test reporting and quality dashboards

• Exposure testing React/Angular applications and working with Python‑based services

• Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS environments)

• Exposure to building and maintaining automation testing frameworks

• Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.

• Ability to operate independently while following existing framework guidelines.

• Resourcefulness in problem‑solving and clear articulation of outputs for non‑technical stakeholders.
