Job summary

Genpact is seeking a Lead Consultant, QA Automation Hybrid Testing Engineer - Playwright to design and implement AI-driven Playwright tests in a hybrid setting. You will collaborate with engineers, product owners, and QA teams to ensure high-quality automated coverage across major user journeys and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Strong experience with Playwright and AI-assisted tooling, plus backend, UI, API, and database testing, is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in software testing or test automation with Playwright (any language/framework).
• Backend data validation, querying and reporting.
• UI testing, API testing, and database proficiency.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools (e.g., Claude Code) for test script generation or refinement.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills; proficient with Git and Agile/Scrum workflows.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• You will design, develop and maintain Playwright-based automated test suites, with a strong emphasis on AI-assisted test creation and refinement.
• Using tools such as Claude Code, you will do test planning, script generation, optimization, and documentation of AI-driven workflows.
• You will collaborate closely with developers, product owners and quality assurance teams to ensure robust automated coverage across key user journeys and uphold quality standards.
• In addition, you will integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, maintain reporting dashboards, and contribute to continuous improvement of automation processes. While most work is automaton-focused, occasional manual validation may be required.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications / Skills

• Experienced in software testing or test automation, with strong hands-on expertise in Playwright (Using any development language/framework)
• Backend Testing, data validation, querying and reporting
• UI (General UI tech stack is OK), API, Database proficiency
• Demonstrated experience using AI tools (preferably Claude Code) for test script generation, test case design or code refinement
• Strong analytical, debugging and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Git and Agile/Scrum workflows

Preferred Qualifications / Skills

• Familiarity with CI/CD integration, automated test reporting and quality dashboards
• Exposure testing React/Angular applications and working with Python-based services
• Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS environments)
• Exposure to building and maintaining automation testing frameworks
• Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to operate independently while following existing framework guidelines.
• Resourcefulness in problem-solving and clear articulation of outputs for non-technical stakeholders.
