Job summary

KIMBERLAND CONSTRUCTION INC. seeks an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with 10+ years and a valid PEE license to lead electrical design for premium casino, hotel, and mixed‑use developments in Metro Manila.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Licensed Professional Electrical Engineer (PEE) — required
• Minimum 10 years of experience in building electrical design, with at least 5 years in casino and/or international hotel projects
• Proven experience working in a recognized design institute or engineering consultancy
• Demonstrated design management experience — ability to lead a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficient in AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit/MEP design software is a strong plus
• Strong working knowledge of PEC, NBCP, NFPA 70/72, and IEC standards

Responsibilities

• Lead full‑scope electrical design for large‑scale casino, five‑star hotel, and mixed‑use commercial projects, including medium and low‑voltage power distribution systems (13.8 kV / 480 V / 230 V)
• Design lighting and emergency lighting systems (including energy‑efficient and smart controls) for casino floors, hotel guest rooms, F&B areas, ballrooms, and back‑of‑house
• Design lightning protection, grounding, and surge protection systems compliant with Philippine and international standards
• Design fire alarm, fire‑fighting interface, and life safety systems (compliant with NFPA & NBCP)
• Design standby power systems (generators, UPS) ensuring uninterrupted operations for casino and hotel critical loads
• Coordinate with low‑voltage, BAS, elevators, ELV (CCTV, access control, BMS), and other building systems
• Manage the electrical design team and coordinate with architects, structural, plumbing, HVAC, and other disciplines in design coordination meetings
• Oversee design deliverables including construction drawings (AutoCAD), technical specifications, BOQs, and design narratives
• Perform and review load calculations, short‑circuit analysis, voltage drop checks, and equipment selection
• Ensure all designs comply with the Philippine Electrical Code (PEC), National Building Code of the Philippines (NBCP), and relevant international standards (NFPA 70/72, IEC, ASHRAE, LEED)
• Support site teams by responding to RFIs, processing design changes, and issuing as‑built documentation
• Conduct design reviews and quality assurance checks throughout project lifecycle

The ideal candidate will lead the electrical system planning, design, and coordination for premium casino, hotel, and mixed‑use commercial developments in Metro Manila. The candidate must possess extensive design management experience and a strong background from a recognized design institute, with proven expertise in delivering complex electrical systems for high‑end hospitality and gaming projects.

Responsibilities

1. Electrical Design Leadership

• Lead full‑scope electrical design for large‑scale casino, five‑star hotel, and mixed‑use commercial projects, including medium and low‑voltage power distribution systems (13.8 kV / 480 V / 230 V)

• Design lighting and emergency lighting systems (including energy‑efficient and smart controls) for casino floors, hotel guest rooms, F & B areas, ballrooms, and back‑of‑house

3. Site Support & Documentation

• Support site teams by responding to RFIs, processing design changes, and issuing as‑built documentation

• Conduct design reviews and quality assurance checks throughout project lifecycle

• Prepare and present electrical design reports to management and clients

• Work flexible hours as required by project schedules, including occasional overtime

• Perform other tasks as may be assigned by the Design Director

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in building electrical design, with at least 5 years in casino and/or international hotel projects

• Proven experience working in a recognized design institute or engineering consultancy

Preferred Skills

• Ability to independently manage the full electrical scope of complex casino and hotel projects from concept to completion

• Fluent in English (written and spoken) — able to prepare technical reports and liaise with international clients and consultants

• Detail‑oriented, proactive, collaborative, and able to perform under pressure in a fast‑paced environment

• Strong leadership and communication skills with a track record of mentoring junior engineers
