Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management, or related field
• 3-5 years in insurance sales, unit management, or team leadership
• Experience achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Fluent in English and Filipino or local languages
• Knowledge of insurance products, underwriting, and regulations
• Proficiency with CRM systems and MS Office
• Willingness to travel within territory
• Insurance licensing preferred
• Recruitment and talent development experience desirable

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Unit Manager to join our team in Bauang, La Union. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in driving the growth and profitability of our insurance operations within the designated territory. As Unit Manager, you will be responsible for leading, motivating, and developing a team of insurance agents whilst ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role is essential to achieving our strategic objectives and expanding our market presence in the region. You will report directly to senior management and have the autonomy to manage day-to-day operations whilst maintaining alignment with AXA Philippines' broader business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of insurance agents to meet and exceed sales targets
• Establish and implement effective sales strategies and marketing initiatives to expand the customer base within the territory
• Monitor and analyse team performance metrics, providing coaching and feedback to improve individual and collective results
• Ensure strict adherence to company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory compliance requirements
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and financial transactions
• Build and nurture relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders to strengthen market presence
• Conduct regular team meetings to communicate company updates, reinforce product knowledge, and celebrate achievements
• Manage budgets and allocate resources efficiently to maximise profitability within the unit
• Investigate customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
• Report regularly to senior management on unit performance, market trends, and strategic recommendation

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in insurance sales, unit management, or team leadership within the financial services industry
• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities in English and Filipino (or other local languages)
• In-depth knowledge of insurance products, underwriting principles, and regulatory requirements
• Proficiency in using customer relationship management (CRM) systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel within the assigned territory
• Certification or licensing in insurance (Life and/or General Insurance) is preferred
• Experience in recruitment, training, and talent development is highly desirable
