About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Unit Head to join our growing team in Makati City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to lead and manage your own business unit.

The Head of Unit role is a hybrid role combines on-site leadership with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements, ensuring effective oversight of team performance and customer service. Day-to-day responsibilities include setting unit targets, monitoring metrics, coaching and mentoring team members, and coordinating with other departments to drive business growth.

The Head of Unit will develop and implement strategies to expand the customer base, improve operational efficiency, and maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The role also involves reporting on unit performance, supporting talent development, and fostering an inclusive, results-oriented culture aligned with the company values.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and people management skills, with experience in supervising teams, coaching staff, and driving high-performance culture.
• Strong sales, business development, and customer relationship management capabilities, ideally within insurance, financial services, or related industries.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience with performance metrics, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and influence stakeholders.
• Experience in operations or unit management, including planning, process improvement, and ensuring regulatory and policy compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Management, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Comfort with hybrid work arrangements and digital tools for remote collaboration, reporting, and customer engagement.
• Background in the Philippine market, particularly in Baguio City or nearby areas, is an advantage; prior experience in insurance or investment products is a plus.

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 1 year of professional experience in Banking & Financial Services, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management position
2. With previous or active license for Insurance
3. Can bring in a team with minimum of 5 members
4. Team player and proven leadership skills
5. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, employees and senior management
