Department: Sales & Business Development
Reports To: Head of Sales
Position Title: Commercial Truck Sales Specialist / Account Executive
Department: Sales & Business Development
Reports To: Head of Sales
Role Overview
We are looking for a relentless Truck Sales Hunter to drive commercial vehicle acquisition across fleet operators, distribution networks, and industrial accounts. This role is built for a self-starter who thrives on cold-outreach, territory hunting, and closing complex B2B deals. You will own the full sales lifecycle—sourcing leads, analyzing fleet unit economics, negotiating structure, and closing multi-unit orders.
If you are motivated by an uncapped commission structure, have hands-on experience navigating dealer/distribution networks, and continuously invest in your own execution and sales capability, this role provides high upside with zero ceiling.
Key Responsibilities
- Aggressive Prospecting (Hunting): Drive new customer acquisition through cold calling, site visits, logistics hub walk-ins, and direct outreach to C-suite/Fleet Directors.
- Distribution & Dealer Network Strategy: Leverage existing relationships across regional distribution networks, transport hubs, and dealer channels to build a sustainable deal pipeline.
- Consultative Fleet Analysis: Evaluate client duty cycles, route profiles, payload specs, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) to recommend optimal vehicle configurations.
- Deal Structuring & Closing: Negotiate purchase, leasing, and fleet supply contracts. Structure high-margin deals and maintain control over the sales process from initial pitch
- Pipeline Management: Maintain high activity volume. Track pipeline metrics, conversion rates, and account progress in CRM to consistently hit and exceed quarterly volume targets.
- Post-Sale Expansion: Leverage initial vehicle deliveries into multi-unit replacement schedules and long-term fleet expansion contracts.
Core Competencies & Mindset
- Hunter Execution: High resilience, proactive pipeline generation, and a strong bias toward action. You do not wait for inbound leads.
- Growth Mindset: High coachability, active feedback integration, and continuous improvement in technical product knowledge and closing techniques.
- Commercial Acumen: Clear grasp of cash flow dynamics, fleet depreciation, vehicle financing, and commercial leasing mechanics.
Qualifications
- Track Record: 2–5+ years of direct B2B sales experience in commercial vehicles, industrial equipment, heavy machinery, or distribution/logistics hardware.
- Network Experience: Proven exposure to commercial distribution networks, dealership structures, or third-party logistics (3PL) operators.
- Proven Performance: Demonstrated history of hitting or exceeding quota in a high-incentive, commission-driven environment.
- Technical Aptitude: Ability to read vehicle specification sheets, understand chassis/body configurations, and converse intelligently with fleet engineers and operations managers.
- Licensing: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: Competitive competitive base.
- Commission: Uncapped commission structure directly tied to gross margin and unit volume targets. High performers earn proportionally high returns.
- Perks: Vehicle/travel allowance, health coverage, and performance bonuses.
