Job summary

BDO Unibank's Marketing Trader is responsible for generating target volume and income based on assigned market coverage and Treasury products. This role coordinates with different portfolio desks to obtain the best market price and services clients' treasury needs.

Duties include marketing to existing and potential clients, identifying needs, cross-selling payroll and cash management, coordinating with Account Officers, and providing market updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least 2 years' experience in Treasury Marketing Sales.
• SEC Licensed Salesman required.
• TCP certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with portfolio desks to obtain best market price/rate.
• Services client’s treasury transactions to meet requirements.
• Negotiates and executes deals as confirmed with client.
• Markets to existing and potential clients to identify needs and opportunities.
• Coordinates with Account Officer and other units to optimize client relationship.
• Submits periodic performance reports and provides market updates.

The Marketing Trader is responsible for generating target volume and income based on assigned market coverage and Treasury products.

Duties and Responsibilities:

A. Trading

• Coordinates with different portfolio desks in getting the best market price/rate
• Services client’s requirements for all treasury transactions

2.2. Negotiates and executes deals as confirmed with client

• Encodes deal transactions in the designated system

B. Marketing

• Conducts marketing calls to existing and potential clients to establish rapport and identify client’s needs
• Identifies potential clients within target market
• Offers other bank products and services depending on their need, e.g. payroll, cash management
• Coordinates with Account Officer and other business units in servicing and optimizing bank-client relationship
• Provides client with recent market condition and developments
• Consistently be in the look-out for client’s needs

C. MIS and Reporting

• Submits periodic performance reports to immediate supervisor
• Provides market feedback and account update to immediate supervisor
• Monitors client’s requirements and volume based on budget given
• Performs other function as maybe assigned from time to time

Qualifications:

• Holder of a Bachelor's Degree
• At least 2 years' experience in Treasury Marketing Sales
• Must be a SEC Licensed Salesman
• Treasury Certification Program (TCP) certified is an advantage
