Job summary

BDO Unibank is seeking a Marketing Trader to generate target volume and income through treasury products, coordinating with desks and servicing client requirements. You will quote regularly and negotiate deals, while encoding transactions in our treasury systems.

The role also covers marketing activities, client outreach, cross-unit collaboration, and providing market updates to clients and supervisors. A strong sales mindset and treasury product knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least 2 years of Treasury Marketing Sales experience.
• SEC Licensed Salesman is required.
• TCP certification is an advantage.

• Serves client’s requirements for all treasury transactions.

The Marketing Trader is responsible for generating target volume and income based on assigned market coverage and Treasury products.

Duties and Responsibilities:

A. Trading

1. Coordinates with different portfolio desks in getting the best market price/rate
2. Services client’s requirements for all treasury transactions

2.1. Gives regular quotes

2.2. Negotiates and executes deals as confirmed with client

1. Encodes deal transactions in the designated system

B. Marketing

1. Conducts marketing calls to existing and potential clients to establish rapport and identify client’s needs
2. Identifies potential clients within target market
3. Offers other bank products and services depending on their need, e.g. payroll, cash management
4. Coordinates with Account Officer and other business units in servicing and optimizing bank-client relationship
5. Provides client with recent market condition and developments
6. Consistently be in the look‑out for client’s needs

C. MIS and Reporting

1. Submits periodic performance reports to immediate supervisor
2. Provides market feedback and account update to immediate supervisor
3. Monitors client’s requirements and volume based on budget given
4. Performs other function as maybe assigned from time to time

Qualifications:

• Holder of a Bachelors Degree
• At least 2 years experience in Treasury Marketing Sales
• Must be a SEC Licensed Salesman
• Treasury Certification Program (TCP) certified is an advantage
