Job summary

Manulife is seeking a Training Specialist to partner with Canada Retirement Operations to identify learning needs and map annual training plans. You will facilitate product and process training for new hires and cross-training worldwide using varied methods (in-person, virtual, coaching).

You will develop curricula and documentation, manage queues to meet turnaround times, and use data to improve staff knowledge. Strong facilitation, organization, and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in Canada Retirement Operations.
• Excellent training delivery and facilitation skills (in-person or virtual).

Job description

Position Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Canada Retirement Operations to identify training needs and map out annual training plans for internal teams
• Facilitate product and process training for new hires and cross-training globally using varied facilitation methods – instructor-led classroom (in-person or virtual), instructor-led deskside, hands-on training, coaching, and mentoring
• Develop and implement training curriculum, training plan and production glide paths
• Make recommendations to improve and maintain staff knowledge inventory based on sound data
• Update and maintain training documentation in line with policies and procedures
• Manage the training queues effectively, to ensure that no work falls out of TAT.

Required Qualifications:

• At least one to two years of experience in Canada Retirement Operations
• Excellent training delivery skills, including the ability to facilitate product and process training using various methods such as in-person or virtual instructor-led sessions, hands-on training, and coaching

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of adult learning principles and methodologies is an advantage.
• Ability to develop and implement training curricula and plans, making recommendations to improve staff knowledge based on data.
• Strong organizational, work management, and time management abilities, with the capability to manage training queues effectively to meet turnaround times
• Strong professionalism, work ethics, analytical and problem-solving skills, and proficiency in MS Office (particularly PowerPoint); familiarity with e-learning software is an asset
