Job summary

Bluewater Panglao Beach Resort in the Philippines is seeking an HR Training Officer to plan, coordinate, and implement training programs for all hotel departments to ensure service excellence and compliance with hospitality standards.

You will conduct needs analyses, develop materials, and coach staff, reporting to management with regular training updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Hospitality Management, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
• At least 2–3 years of experience in Training & Development, preferably in a hotel, resort, or hospitality environment.
• Experience in facilitating training and developing learning materials.
• Strong knowledge of hospitality service standards and employee development practices.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple training activities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other learning/training tools.
• Willing to be assigned at Bluewater Panglao Beach Resort, Bohol.

Responsibilities

• Conduct training needs analysis and identify employee development requirements.
• Develop and coordinate training programs for Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Engineering, and other resort departments.
• Facilitate orientation, onboarding, service standards, soft skills, and technical training.
• Coordinate with department heads to ensure training programs address operational needs.
• Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance results.
• Maintain accurate training records, attendance, training calendars, and employee development files.
• Assist in developing training materials, presentations, modules, and other learning resources.
• Support employee engagement and development initiatives of the HR Department.
• Coordinate internal and external trainers, speakers, and training providers when necessary.
• Ensure required training programs are properly documented and completed within schedule.
• Assist in implementing hospitality standards, brand standards, safety, and compliance-related training.
• Provide coaching and guidance to employees as part of continuous learning and development.
• Prepare regular training reports and updates for management.
• Perform other HR and training-related duties as assigned.
