Job summary

Commodore Jose S. Francisco Foundation, Inc. (AHA Learning Center) is seeking a Training and Development Officer to lead capacity-building interventions across academics, social-emotional learning, and support systems.

The role is hybrid and based in Metro Manila with community immersion and nationwide travel. You will collaborate with our T&D team to design and deliver workshops for teachers, school heads, and parents, ensuring child safety and policy compliance, while supporting curriculum

Qualifications

• Graduate of Education, Psychology, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Community Development, or related fields.
• 1–2 years of experience in training facilitation, education programs, NGO work, or community-based projects.
• Proven ability to facilitate engaging workshops (online or face-to-face) and adapt learning materials.
• Organized, detail-oriented, with basic project management skills and procurement/liquidations experience.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Filipino/Taglish; willing to travel nationwide when needed.
• Values child safety, inclusivity, social-emotional learning, and community-centered work.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate online and face-to-face workshops for teachers, school heads, and parents; master AHA's core learning interventions.
• Adapt and create learning materials tailored to local partner communities.
• Build trust-based relationships with school heads, master teachers, parents, and local partners to foster collaboration.
• Support school visits to provide guidance on curriculum implementation, instructional strategies, and learner engagement.
• Manage monitoring tools, track project deliverables, and handle admin requirements (procurement of training supplies, expense reporting, liquidations).
• Orient and manage volunteers while ensuring strict child safety and policy compliance across all activities.

About the role

The Training and Development Officer works directly with our T&D team to spearhead capacity-building interventions anchored on AHA's three-fold framework: academics, social-emotional learning, and support system skills.
