Job Summary
The Trade Marketing Manager is responsible for planning and implementing trade marketing activities that support sales, strengthen supplier partnerships, and increase product visibility and customer engagement across the company’s stores. The role works closely with Merchandising, Marketing, Store Operations, and suppliers to develop effective promotions and in-store activities.
Develop and implement trade marketing plans based on business and sales objectives.
Plan and manage supplier-funded promotions, campaigns, and in-store activities.
Work closely with suppliers and brand partners to develop trade marketing programs.
Identify opportunities to improve product visibility, placement, and sales in stores.
Coordinate with Merchandising and Store Operations for the proper execution of promotions and campaigns.
Monitor the performance of trade promotions and evaluate their effectiveness.
Analyze sales, promotional, and customer data to identify trends and opportunities.
Prepare reports on campaign results, sales performance, and return on promotional investments.
Ensure that promotional materials, displays, and in-store activities are implemented properly and on time.
Manage trade marketing budgets and ensure proper use of allocated funds.
Build and maintain good working relationships with suppliers, brand representatives, and internal stakeholders.
Support new product launches, seasonal campaigns, and major store events.
Conduct store visits to check the implementation and visibility of trade marketing activities.
Monitor competitor promotions and market activities and recommend appropriate actions.
Identify areas for improvement and recommend strategies to increase sales and customer engagement.
Perform other related duties that may be assigned by the immediate superior.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Management, or a related course.
At least 3–5 years of experience in Trade Marketing, Brand Marketing, Sales, Merchandising, or Retail Marketing.
Experience in supermarket, retail, FMCG, or consumer goods is highly preferred.
Experience working with suppliers, distributors, or brand partners is an advantage.
Strong understanding of promotions, in-store marketing, and sales activities.
Good analytical and reporting skills.
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Good project management and organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Willing to conduct store visits and travel when required.
