Job summary

Teradyne is seeking a detail-oriented Electronics Technician in Lapu-Lapu, Philippines. You will perform PCBAs testing, troubleshoot using defined procedures, and assist with board repair and reassembly. The role involves packing/shipping boards and collaborating with engineers to improve processes.

The ideal candidate has electronics technology background, board repair experience, and basic hardware/software validation skills. Local candidates preferred; visa sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Follow PCBAs test procedures and assembly handling procedures.
• Run full test procedures for Teradyne PCBA and system setup.
• Interpret and troubleshoot failure data from test programs with guidance from engineers.
• Perform defined testing and troubleshooting steps.
• Conduct visual inspection and ensure proper reassembly and no defects.
• Assist in packing and shipping of boards.
• Collaborate with technicians and engineers on process and quality improvements.
• Adhere to company rules, policies, and procedures.

Opportunity Overview

• Keen attention to details, 100% compliance with PCBA handling procedures, must be physically able to pick up PCBA Assemblies and place inside a system or TBUs.
• Run the full test procedures of Teradyne PCBAs and System set-up based on the defined procedure.
• Interpret failure datalog from test programs and follow defined troubleshooting steps to fix the PCBA; work with other Technician, Engineer, or Supervisor for failures that are not yet defined.
• Run a number of defined specific steps to properly fix the PCBA performing repetitive defined testing and troubleshooting procedures.
• Perform visual inspection to ensure units have been reassembled/reworked and free from physical defects.
• Perform packing and shipping of boards.
• Works with other Technicians and Engineers in process and quality improvements, reliability issues as well as meeting department/section goals.
• Comply with company rules, policies, guidelines, and procedures.

• Electronics Technology or Industrial Electronics graduates with relevant experience in board repair
• Knowledgeable in electronics board troubleshooting, de/soldering, and repair
• Experience in hardware/software validation and verification for medium and high-end testers is an advantage

• Computer literate
