Job summary

Teradyne Inc. in the Philippines is seeking a Electronics Technician to perform PCB testing, repairs, and validation per defined procedures. The role requires attention to detail, hands-on troubleshooting, and collaboration with engineers on quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Electronics Technology or Industrial Electronics graduate with relevant board repair experience.
• Knowledgeable in electronics board troubleshooting, de/soldering, and repair.
• Experience in hardware/software validation and verification for medium and high-end testers is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed testing with 100% compliance to PCBA handling procedures.
• Run full Teradyne PCBA and system setup test procedures per guidance.
• Interpret failure datalog and follow troubleshooting steps with engineers/supervisor.
• Execute defined steps to fix PCBA via repetitive testing and troubleshooting.
• Visually inspect to ensure reassembly and absence of defects.
• Pack and ship boards.
• Collaborate with technicians/engineers on process quality improvements.
• Follow company rules and procedures.

Opportunity Overview

• Keen attention to details, 100% compliance with PCBA handling procedures, must be physically able to pick up PCBA Assemblies and place inside a system or TBUs.
• Run the full test procedures of Teradyne PCBAs and System set-up based on the defined procedure.
• Interpret failure datalog from test programs and follow defined troubleshooting steps to fix the PCBA; work with other Technician, Engineer, or Supervisor for failures that are not yet defined.
• Run a number of defined specific steps to properly fix the PCBA performing repetitive defined testing and troubleshooting procedures.
• Perform visual inspection to ensure units have been reassembled/reworked and free from physical defects.
• Perform packing and shipping of boards.
• Works with other Technicians and Engineers in process and quality improvements, reliability issues as well as meeting department/section goals.
• Comply with company rules, policies, guidelines, and procedures.
