Job summary

Teradyne Philippines in Lapu-Lapu is seeking an Electronics Technician to repair PCBA boards and run the full test procedures according to defined procedures. The role requires attention to detail, the ability to handle PCBA assemblies, and collaboration with engineers and technicians for troubleshooting and improvements.

The candidate should have Electronics Technology or Industrial Electronics background, with knowledge of board troubleshooting, de/soldering, and hardware/software validation.

Qualifications

• Electronics board troubleshooting and repair
• Ability to read/test PCBA procedures
• Computer literate and capable of basic hardware/software validation

Responsibilities

• Keen attention to details, 100% compliance with PCBA handling procedures, must be physically able to pick up PCBA Assemblies and place inside a system or TBUs.
• Run the full test procedures of Teradyne PCBAs and System set-up based on the defined procedure.
• Interpret failure datalog from test programs and follow defined troubleshooting steps to fix the PCBA; work with other Technician, Engineer, or Supervisor for failures that are not yet defined.
• Run a number of defined specific steps to properly fix the PCBA performing repetitive defined testing and troubleshooting procedures.
• Perform visual inspection to ensure units have been reassembled/reworked and free from physical defects.
• Perform packing and shipping of boards.
• Works with other Technicians and Engineers in process and quality improvements, reliability issues as well as meeting department/section goals.
• Comply with company rules, policies, guidelines, and procedures.

• Electronics Technology or Industrial Electronics graduates with relevant experience in board repair
• Knowledgeable in electronics board troubleshooting, de/soldering, and repair
• Experience in hardware/software validation and verification for medium and high-end testers is an advantage

• Computer literate
